On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Homeland War and the Day of Remembrance for Vukovar and Škabrnja, Primax d.o.o. from Slavonski Brod launched a touching initiative donating Ecolant eco lanterns to schools across Croatia. The response exceeded all expectations – dozens of schools from all regions of the country joined this symbolic initiative.
Logistical Achievement: 72 Hours to Every School
Every school that accepted the donation received 100 Ecolant lanterns delivered within 72 hours, representing a major logistical undertaking for Primax. Despite the challenges of coordinating delivery to all corners of Croatia, the company’s team ensured that no school was left without lanterns to commemorate this important date.
Youth Creativity: Messages of Remembrance
Students across Croatia demonstrated extraordinary creativity in decorating the lanterns. Schools shared photographs with us showing young people’s creativity in using and painting Ecolants – from touching messages of gratitude, drawings of peace doves and Croatian symbols, to personal verses and names of those we remember.
Each lantern became a unique story, and installations set up in schoolyards, parks, and city squares throughout Croatia created a sea of lights of remembrance that united the entire country in quiet respect for the victims of the Homeland War.
Remembrance That Connects Generations
This initiative demonstrated how the tradition of remembrance can be modern, environmentally responsible, and creative. Younger generations learned the importance of remembrance through creativity, and their works became a symbol of light that never goes out – the light of remembrance, hope, and togetherness.
Primax thanks all schools, students, and teachers who participated in this initiative and continues its commitment to supporting the community and preserving the memory of our heroes.
